About the school

English is about confidence, not just perfect grammar

Here's the thinking behind Language Lab — and the person teaching it.

Our story

Language Lab began with a simple observation

Many students spend years studying English — memorising rules, passing tests — and still freeze in an actual conversation. Language Lab by Sebastian was built to change that: less rote memorisation, more genuine speaking practice and real confidence.

Today, lessons welcome students of every level and background, from complete beginners to those preparing for international exams or English-language interviews.

Language Lab isn't a chain of schools, and it isn't trying to be a big one. We've stayed intentionally small because we care more about the individual student than about how many students we have — every lesson is planned around one person, not a fixed curriculum.

Special Topic Lessons

A hallmark of Language Lab: lessons that pair a specific grammar point with a single, carefully built conversation theme — for students who want more than drills.

Sample lesson

"If I Could Turn Back Time" — Level B1

A grammar and speaking lesson built around the Second and Third Conditional, and Wish — using twenty reflective scenarios to explore moments worth revisiting. Not about regret, but about honest self-understanding, expressed through hypothetical language.

"If I had known, I would have acted differently." — Third Conditional
"I wish I had spent more time with her." — Wish + Past Perfect
"If I could turn back time, I would appreciate that moment more." — Second Conditional
Homework includes bilingual (English/Italian) reflection prompts.

Learning a Skill Earlier

"Is there a skill you wish you had started learning much earlier in life?"

"How different do you think your life would be if you had started sooner?"

What we value

Principles behind every lesson

An individual approach

No two students are alike — every programme is shaped around your goals and pace. Staying small, rather than growing into a big chain of schools, is what makes that possible.

Conversation first

You speak from the very first lesson. Theory supports the conversation, not the other way around.

Transparent progress

Regular, honest feedback and clear benchmarks — you always know where you stand.

A judgement-free space

Mistakes are part of learning. A comfortable atmosphere helps you progress faster.
